A Quick Note from Jackie
This peanut butter and jelly protein ice cream might be my favorite Ninja Creami flavor so far.
I have seen plenty of peanut butter ice creams, but I do not think I have ever seen one that
really captures the peanut butter and jelly combination in a light, bariatric-friendly way.
It starts with my standard vanilla protein base, then gets a peanut butter boost from powdered
peanut butter and a sweet strawberry swirl from sugar-free preserves. It feels nostalgic, creamy,
and fun while still helping support my protein goals.
Why You’ll Love It
- Creamy peanut butter flavor without tons of added calories.
- Sweet strawberry swirl using sugar-free preserves.
- About 21 grams of protein for the whole pint.
- Fun, nostalgic flavor that feels like a treat.
- Easy to customize with graham cracker crumbs or extra peanut butter powder.
Ingredients
- 1 standard vanilla protein ice cream base, frozen
- 2 tablespoons powdered peanut butter
- 2 tablespoons sugar-free strawberry preserves
- Optional: 1 to 2 tablespoons crushed graham cracker pieces for topping or mix-in
Directions
- Prepare your standard vanilla protein ice cream base and freeze according to your Ninja Creami routine.
- Spin the frozen base using the light ice cream or preferred setting.
- Add the powdered peanut butter and respin until the mixture is creamy and the peanut butter flavor is blended in.
- Add the sugar-free strawberry preserves and either gently stir them in by hand or use the mix-in function for a more blended swirl.
- If desired, top with a small amount of crushed graham cracker pieces for a peanut butter and jelly cracker-style flavor.

Bariatric Tips
- Depending on your restriction level, one pint may be more than one serving.
- Start with a smaller portion and stop at your first sign of fullness.
- If sugar alcohols bother your stomach, use a sweetener or preserve you already tolerate.
- For a lower-sugar version, keep the preserves to 1 tablespoon or use a thin swirl instead of mixing them throughout.
Flavor Variations
| Variation | How to Make It |
|---|---|
| PB&J Cracker | Add a small sprinkle of crushed graham cracker pieces after spinning. |
| Extra Peanut Butter | Add an extra tablespoon of powdered peanut butter for a stronger peanut butter flavor. |
| Chocolate PB&J | Add cocoa powder to the vanilla base before freezing. |
| Raspberry PB&J | Swap the strawberry preserves for sugar-free raspberry preserves. |
